CONNECTING

Searching for the Truth.

All people are capable of selfishness, including our parents.

If I were raised without my biodad, even if I had a marvelous stepfather,
I would try to locate my biodad, his parents and siblings,
and give them the chance to testify about what should have been my family life - - -
except that one or both of my parents torpedoed my childhood.

I would also want to see if anyone on the non-custodial side of my family
might want to love me.

I just watched an episode of a TV paternity court show, where two men claimed custody of a child.
A married woman had sex with another man ....................and ........................yep,
the adultering loverboy turned out to be the biodad.

The mother and her husband moved away...ghosted the biodad,
so the real biodad couldn't have access to his child.
I consider them to be child-stealers - human traffickers.
She will likely never tell the daughter about her real dad.

This photo is not related to the article underneath it.
I'm just showing off my dysfunctional family history.

Grandparents, etc.

Sometimes, even if your dad didn't want you,
your grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins on that side of the family
might be thrilled to know you exist.

I know of a family of older siblings, whose parents are all deceased.
They recently learned that their dad had unknowingly created a half-brother by a woman he dated
just before he began dating their mother. So the half-brother is older than all of them.
He is nearly 80 now.

Apparently, the woman never told their dad she was pregnant,
and their paths never crossed for him to suspect.

One of the half-siblings did a DNA test and the DNA-matchmaker found the older brother.
They have met, bonded and are proceeding as an articulated-family.
And these siblings were grandparents when they first met.

Who knew?
Apparently only the boy's mother.
