We are all deficient, except God.

"I'm not good enough for God."

On one level, you are correct...but,

The writer of the Book of Romans, in chapter 7 says,
"21 So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me.
22 For in my inner being I delight in God’s law;
23 but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind
and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me.
24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death?
25 Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!"

And this is from someone that God chose to write part of the New Testament.
So how much can we expect from ourselves and others?
Can we expect ourselves to be perfect in everything we do?

God accepts imperfect, yet repentant, humble people.

I remember times that I had to count change to buy groceries or gas.
(A quart jar of pennies is about $10.)
Falling short financially was a recurring problem when I was younger.
I have also fallen short as a husband, as a father, as a follower and as a leader.

After reading Romans 7, I reckon that in some fashion, we are all flawed-creatures,
that only Christ can redeem.
And until we see Jesus, face-to-face, we must accept some level of imperfection from others,
and we must confess the imperfections that plague each of us
.

Which means, that we must see God as completely trustworthy to lead us through life.

A lot of fatherless people struggle with trusting God.
But God is the only one who is not deficient.

Perhaps what we really worry about - is trusting Him with our favorite imperfections, eh?
